NASA’s pride the space shuttle is launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. In a fiery plume they launch, engines at full and speed through the clouds and are soon in orbit with Earth below. Their missions include science experiments, carrying cargo to the International Space Station, satellite maintenance. Floating in orbit the planet Earth a backdrop, the astronauts aboard maneuver to dock with a module of the International Space Station. They have an attached robotic arm to perform their missions. When their work is done, it’s time to fire their rockets to start their descent. A bright fire covers them and then landing smoothly at the Edwards Air Force Base in California, their deployment finished. It’s all in a days work and to understanding our solar system and universe. So “… slip the surly bonds of Earth” with our Space and NASA stock footage.
